Wednesday, December 07, 2005. I have really enjoyed reading what everyone has had to say and think that everyone has said some very important and intellectual things. I have enjoyed commenting on your blogs and generating this religious discussion. I hope that we will continue to discuss and think about the things we have learned. I am reminded of the living nightmare that is middle school.
Scripture in christianity, judaism and islam. Tuesday, December 13, 2005. I have been studying for the final and I figured this would be the best time to write my final blog, while all the information was somewhat fresh in my mind. It has been really interesting learning about these three different religions. They are so similar and yet very different. The most interesting difference is how they treat their scriptures and how they interpret them to keep them relevant in a modern day context.
Before POD there was JSB, Bach that is. A new way to pray. The MET, the MOBIA, the NEW YORK CITY. Thursday, December 08, 2005. So as the class comes to an end I begin to ask the question now what? Is education the key to peace in religious societies? How can one person who has taken religion 204 tell the world to just settle down. Is prayer the answer? Is trying to find God again the answer? Wednesday, December 07, 2005.
Saturday, December 17, 2005. It actually felt like we were the priest. We had the opportunity not only to see what it would be like to be in the shoes of a priest, but also to write a sermon. How should I state something in my sermon that will have an effect? These were probably common questions that the class kept in mind while writing their sermons. Overall, it was fun listen.
